LE RELAIS DE LA DILIGENCE
The Relais de la Diligence was founded in 1865 as a posthouses for St-Albands, Vermont. Later, the stagecoaches stopped there to accommodate their passengers in what had become the Hotel Seely. The place was very popular with the upper class of the time, and was famous for their social gathering in the splendid ballroom on the third floor. In 1893, a factory of equipment for maple syrup production, the Small Brothers, was opened.
Today, the Relais de la Diligence accommodate some offices and is a real artisan lair of all kinds (soap factory, microbrewery, hair salon, shop of artisanal recycling production, bakery…)
THE TOWN OF DUNHAM
The town of Dunham was founded in 1796 and was the first county to be set up in the Lower Canada by a group of loyalist, which the representative was Thomas Dunn. Has Dunn was of Irish decent, we found a clove in the town’s coat of arms.
It’s in Dunham, an apple trees region, that was establish in 1982 the first commercial vineyard of Quebec. The Domaine de l’Orpailleur, was found by the initiative of both Quebec and French associates.

THE DOW BREWERY
And a funny fact…The Dow brewery, which was one of the most important brewery in Quebec until the 1960’s, was found in 1790 by Thomas Dunn, also the founder of the town of Dunham! It obviously was meant to be!!
Look at the crown on the logo of the Dow. That’s a real coincidence with the Dunham brewery’s logo, we did the link with Thomas Dunn recently!
THE RESTO-PUB
The Dunham brewery’s bar is adjacent to the brewery. This is the best place to enjoy our beer at the source, have a snack, attend concerts or enjoy the sun on our terrace. All this in the charming scenery of an historic building, in the picturesque village of Dunham, in the Eastern Townships.
